The 2024 EU Survey on Violence against Women is the EU’s biggest ever survey of violence against women. It has been carried out jointly by Eurostat, The Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) and The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) - the three organisations who between them are responsible for statistical information, human rights and gender equality within the European Union. For the first time ever it references levels of violence as disclosed by almost 115,000 women in every Member State, so policymakers across the EU can develop ways to tackle the issue.
