FRA updates the Council on its criminal justice work

On 8 December, the Agency presented its various criminal justice work to the Council Working Party on Judicial Cooperation on Criminal Matters (COPEN).

This includes the upcoming update of its criminal detention database. The database is an online tool bringing together relevant standards, case law and reports on core aspects of detention conditions to support the work of judges and legal practitioners in cross-border cases.

FRA also presented its recent report on the fundamental rights impact of the EU Terrorism Directive. The European Commission also presented its evaluation of the directive, to which FRA research also contributed.
