FRA will present evidence on Europeans’ attitudes towards fundamental rights and democracy during a conference to mark European Day for Victims of Crime on 22 February.
The speech will also reflect on the specific experiences of different crime victims, drawing from first EU-wide dataset on crime victims. It will also address new or newly recognised forms of crime victimisation that can pose a threat to society, fundamental rights, and democracy – including hate crime, and cyber and related online threats. The Swedish Crime Victim Authority organises the event.
