Artigo 23.o - Igualdade entre homens e mulheres
Deve ser garantida a igualdade entre homens e mulheres em todos os domínios, incluindo em matéria de emprego, trabalho e remuneração. O princípio da igualdade não obsta a que se mantenham ou adoptem medidas que prevejam regalias específicas a favor do sexo sub-representado.
O primeiro parágrafo deste artigo baseou-se no artigo 2.o e no n.o 2 do artigo 3.o do Tratado CE, agora substituídos pelo artigo 3.o do Tratado da União Europeia e pelo artigo 8.o do Tratado sobre o Funcionamento da União Europeia, que estabelecem como objectivo da União promover a igualdade entre homens e mulheres, e ainda no n.o 1 do artigo 157.o do Tratado sobre o Funcionamento da União Europeia, inspirando-se também no artigo 20.o da Carta Social Europeia revista, de 3 de Maio de 1996, e no ponto 16 da Carta Comunitária dos Direitos Sociais Fundamentais dos Trabalhadores. Baseia-se igualmente no n.o 3 do artigo 157.o do Tratado sobre o Funcionamento da União Europeia e no n.o 4 do artigo 2.o da Directiva 76/207/CEE do Conselho, relativa à concretização do princípio da igualdade de tratamento entre homens e mulheres no que se refere ao acesso ao emprego, à formação e promoção profissionais e às condições de trabalho. O segundo parágrafo reproduz, numa fórmula mais curta, o n.o 4 do artigo 157.o do Tratado sobre o Funcionamento da União Europeia, nos termos do qual o princípio da igualdade de tratamento não obsta a que se mantenham ou adoptem medidas que prevejam regalias específicas destinadas a facilitar o exercício de uma actividade profissional pelas pessoas do sexo sub-representado, ou a prevenir ou compensar desvantagens na sua carreira profissional. Nos termos do n.o 2 do artigo 52.o, este número não altera o disposto no n.o 4 do artigo 157.o
Article 13 (Principle of equality) (1) All citizens possess the same social dignity and are equal before the law. (2) No one may be privileged, favoured, prejudiced, deprived of any right or exempted from any duty for reasons of ancestry, sex, race, language, territory of origin, religion, political or ideological beliefs, education, economic situation, social circumstances or sexual orientation. Article 9 (Fundamental tasks of the State) The basic responsibilities of the State are: (h) To promote equality between men and women. Article 36 (Family, marriage and filiation) (3) Spouses have equal rights in relation both to their civil and political capacity and to the education and maintenance of their children. Article 59 (Workers' rights) (1) All workers, regardless of age, sex, race, nationality, place of origin, religion or political or ideological convictions, are entitled to: (a) Remuneration for their work, according to its quantity, nature and quality, on the principle of equal pay for equal work, so as to guarantee to them an appropriate livelihood. Article 109 (Citizens' participation in politics) Direct and active participation by men and women in political life is a requirement of, and a basic instrument for consolidating the democratic system. The law must promote equality in the exercise of civil and political rights and non-discrimination on the basis of gender for access to political positions.
Article 33.1. Men and women shall have equal rights in family, political, social and economic life in the Republic of Poland.2. Men and women shall have equal rights, in particular, regarding education, employment and promotion, and shall have the right to equal compensation for work of similar value, to social security, to hold offices, and to receive public honours and decorations.

Article 14The State shall promote the equal right of men and women to enjoy all economic, social, cultural, civil and political rights and for this purpose shall take appropriate measures to eliminate all forms of discrimination between the sexes by any person, organisation or enterprise; the State shall in particular aim at ensuring that women workers enjoy equal rights and the same wages for the same work as men.

Article 11.(2) Women and men are equal in rights and duties. The State sees to active promotion of elimination of impediments which may exist in matters of equality between women and men.
Article 29. All persons shall be equal before the law, courts, and other state institutions and officials. Human rights may not be restricted; no one may be granted any privileges on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, language, origin, social status, belief, convictions, or views.

Article 40.1. All citizens shall, as human persons, be held equal before the law. this shall not be held to mean that the state shall not in its enactments have due regard to differences of capacity, physical and moral, and of social function. Article 45.2. The state shall, in particular, direct its policy towards securing:– i that the citizens (all of whom, men and women equally, have the right to an adequate means of livelihood) may through their occupations find the means of making reasonable provision for their domestic needs. Article 9.1.3. No person may be excluded from Irish nationality and citizenship by reason of the sex of such person.Article16.1.3. No law shall be enacted placing any citizen under disability or incapacity for membership of Dáil Éireann on the ground of sex or disqualifying any citizen or other person from voting at an election for members of Dáil Éireann on that ground.
An act to amend the Employment Equality Act 1998, Pensions Act 1990 and Equal Status Act 2000 for the purpose of making further and better provision in relation to equality of treatment in the workplace and elsewhere; to give effect to Council Directive 2000/43/EC of 29 June 2000 implementing the principle of equal treatment between persons irrespective of racial or ethnic origin, Council Directive 2000/78/EC of 27 November 2000 establishing a general framework for equal treatment in employment and occupation and Directive 2002/73/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 september 2002 amending Council Directive 76/207/EEC on the implementation of the principle of equal treatment for men and women as regards access to employment, vocational training and promotion, and working conditions; and to revoke in part and enact in respect of proceedings under this act the European Communities (burden of proof in gender discrimination cases) Regulations 2001, which gave effect to Council Directive 97/80/EC of 15 December 19971 on the burden of proof in cases of discrimination based on sex.
XV. cikk (SZABADSÁG ÉS FELELŐSSÉG) […] (2) Magyarország az alapvető jogokat mindenkinek bármely megkülönböztetés, nevezetesen faj, szín, nem, fogyatékosság, nyelv, vallás, politikai vagy más vélemény, nemzeti vagy társadalmi származás, vagyoni, születési vagy egyéb helyzet szerinti különbségtétel nélkül biztosítja. (3) A nők és a férfiak egyenjogúak. (4) Magyarország az esélyegyenlőség és a társadalmi felzárkózás megvalósulását külön intézkedésekkel segíti. (5) Magyarország külön intézkedésekkel védi a családokat, a gyermekeket, a nőket, az időseket és a fogyatékkal élőket. XIX. cikk (SZABADSÁG ÉS FELELŐSSÉG) […] (4) Magyarország az időskori megélhetés biztosítását a társadalmi szolidaritáson alapuló egységes állami nyugdíjrendszer fenntartásával és önkéntesen létrehozott társadalmi intézmények működésének lehetővé tételével segíti elő. Törvény az állami nyugdíjra való jogosultság feltételeit a nők fokozott védelmének követelményére tekintettel is megállapíthatja.
Article XV (Freedom and Responsibility) […] (2) Hungary shall guarantee the fundamental rights to everyone without discrimination and in particular without discrimination on grounds of race, colour, sex, disability, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or any other status. (3) Women and men shall have equal rights. (4) By means of separate measures, Hungary shall help to achieve equality of opportunity and social inclusion. Article XIX (Freedom and Responsibility) […] (4) Hungary shall contribute to ensuring a life of dignity for the elderly by maintaining a general state pension system based on social solidarity and by allowing for the operation of voluntarily established social institutions. An Act may lay down the conditions for entitlement to state pension also with regard to the requirement for stronger protection for women.

Dated 24 June 1994Section 1 - Scope. This Act shall apply to persons employed in federal administrative bodies of the Republic and in federal corporations, establishments and foundations under the public law, and in federal courts. "Administrations" within the meaning of this Act shall include public enterprises managed under federally-owned administration, and other federal public undertakings. Section 2 - Purpose of the Act.In order to bring about equality for men and women in the federal administrations and courts specified under section 1, women shall be afforded advancement under the terms of this Act, with due attention to the precedence of suitability, capability and occupational performance (Article 33, subsection (2) of the Constitution).
