The main topic of the hearing was the reform of the Dublin system and crisis relocation. The Agency expressed concern as to the compliance of the recast of the Dublin procedure with international and European standards protecting the rights of the child. Specific attention was given to the best interest of the child and procedural safeguards. The Committee Chair announced that the European Parliament has requested the Agency to submit a legal opinion on the impact of the proposed amendments to the Dublin Regulation on children.
