The Compendium of Practices on Equality Data covers practices on different discrimination grounds and areas of life in which discrimination, inequality and exclusion can occur.     Every two years, the Belgian Federal Public Service for Employment, Work and Social Dialogue and the Belgian equality body (Unia) link socio-economic data from various national databases to monitor developments with respect to equal opportunities for people with a migration background in the labour market. The latest research was published in a report in December 2017.

    Since 2000, the Italian statistical institution, ISTAT, has been running the disability information system. This data hub integrates and systematises different data sources, thereby documenting the living conditions and level of social inclusion of people with disabilities.

    In 2015, the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency of Germany (FADA) surveyed people affected by discrimination for an in-depth analysis of discrimination experiences. To enhance the validity and reliability of the survey, its design included possibilities for self-identification of respondents and measures to reach out to respondents from under-represented and/or hard-to-reach groups.

    The EU SILC_MRK took place in 2018 and 2020 and it is expected that it will continue on a three-yearly basis. Given the structure of the survey, the data should be more reliable than estimates based on the 2011 Census data.

    The Netherlands Institute for Social Research surveys the largest minorities of foreign origin in the Netherlands to monitor developments with respect to their education, employment, social contacts, social and political participation, ethnic and religious identity, perceived discrimination and acceptance, and cultural values among other variables, in order to assess their participation and inclusion in Dutch society.

    The Advocate of the Principle of Equality conducted a survey on the perceptions of discrimination and experiences of discrimination among the general population in Slovenia. The results of the survey were first published in the 2017 annual report of the Advocate of the Principle of Equality in April 2018.

    Since 2009, the Croatian Office of the Ombudsman acting as an equality body regularly surveys public attitudes and perceptions of discrimination and inequality on all 17 protected characteristics set out in the Croatian Anti-Discrimination Act across various areas of life. The last edition was published in 2016.

    Is Britain Fairer? is a triennial report published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission. it reviews the country’s performance on equality and human rights. This national report facilitates the effective use of equality data by drawing key evidence from a wide range of sources dealing with all grounds of discrimination under the Equality Act. The data are presented in a consistent way across six areas of life: education, work, living standards, health, justice and security and participation.

    Since 2018, the Finnish Ministry of Justice has been publishing biannual policy briefs on issues related to equality and non-discrimination based on recent data. These are concise documents with infographics and summaries of research results in the relevant area targeting policymakers, public bodies, experts, media, and indirectly, the general population.
