Frontex Management Board discusses fundamental rights
FRA attended the Management Board meeting of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) on 21 September.
The Frontex Fundamental Rights Officer reported on findings and recommendations. He also outlined incoming serious incident reports on potential fundamental rights violations.
Frontex also provided information on reforms to its complaints mechanism, its fundamental rights strategy action plan, and recruiting Fundamental Rights Monitors and a deputy Fundamental Rights Officer.
Since 2020, FRA attends the Frontex Management Board meeting sessions that concern fundamental rights.
