The aim of this project is to update the data populating the human rights indicators on political participation of persons with disabilities, first developed by FRA in 2014.

The current project builds on the existing FRA database to provide updated and new information on standards of conditions of detention in EU Member States, which can assist judges dealing with European Arrest Warrant (EAW) requests in their assessment of whether detention conditions comply with the prohibition of inhuman or degrading treatment. FRA will collect data through desk research and will closely cooperate with relevant monitoring bodies.

This project analyses online hatred in selected EU Member States through collecting and analysing incidents of sexist and racist hatred expressed on selected online platforms.

The project will provide evidence-based advice to EU institutions and Member States on procedural safeguards for children who are suspected or accused of crime. FRA will collect information through a combination of desk research and interviews with lawyers, police, judges, prosecutors, other juvenile justice professionals, as well as with children.

Children who are deprived of parental care and who are third-country nationals are in need of special protection, and are entitled to be assigned a person who assists them throughout all proceedings. This project continues FRA's work on guardianship for unaccompanied children by looking at guardianship and legal representation systems in all 27 EU Member States, plus North Macedonia and Serbia. It also includes the development of a training manual for trainers of guardians.

The survey will collect comparable data in 15 EU Member States – Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Sweden – from immigrants and descendants of immigrants. The survey asks about their experiences in different areas of life – ranging from employment to crime victimisation – through the lens of fundamental rights.
