High-level conference focuses on human rights at the local level
Other panellists will include Nada Al-Nashif, Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, Gabriel Ramos, Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences at UNESCO, and Siegfried Nagl, Mayor of Graz.
The discussions will build on experiences and voices on human rights from the local and regional level collected during the Winter Academy that runs from 1 to 8 February.
The Municipality of Graz hosts the event as it marks 20 years of being a Human Rights City. Graz was the first European city to become a Human Rights City.
The event will include addresses from Austrian Ministers and Austria’s President, Alexander Van der Bellen. UNESCO, in cooperation with the UN’s Human Rights Office (OHCHR) and FRA, organises the event.
The event will be webstreamed.
